Be Brave through Infertility
| Infertility Awareness Week | The last word & for sure the most impactful for me, brave. It was my second Mother's Day since trying & our pastor made an announcement. He offered prayer to each type of mother in our congregation. The mother to grown children, lost children, little babies, the first time mother, the soon to be mother, and the mother who is not yet. ⠀⠀

When he started preaching to the mothers who are undergoing infertility I was immediately overcame by emotion. You mean I count? My striving for motherhood counts on a day like today? He said "you are stronger & braver then anyone here knows." That statement is one I repeat daily.

A word we grew up as kids looking up to super heroes for being. A word that means you are facing trial & doing your very best. It is a word that means your daily efforts to be strong through your struggle is being acknowledged. It is a word that means someone is proud of you, that they look up to you.

When I hear the word brave, when someone uses it to describe me, I feel set apart in the best way possible. That I am going through something incredibly difficult but going through it with grace & strength. I have found that it is my favorite word & my favorite thing to be.

Infertility is shaping me as a one day mother. It is teaching me to be vulnerable & pursue purpose deep out of the struggle. It is showing me how to offer stronger emotion for other's hurt through empathy. Infertility is training me to push out the demons that say you are unworthy or not enough. That I qualify today & I qualify tomorrow. It is creating me to offer grace, the most beautiful quality a woman can bestow & the best form of love we can give. Through it all, I am teaching & showing Infertility I am brave. I am showing infertility that I am in training & being created to become an adoring mother.
