Christmas Time Wrapping

I was raised by a mother who cared deeply for gifting. She put so much thought and passion into her gifting that it was contagious. Not only was the gift a perfectly paired grouping fulfilling all your hopes & dreams, but the wrapping was always stunning. She just has a gift for gifting.

This was surly a trait that my sisters & I strived to acquire.  Over the years growing into a young women & now as a wife, I have thoroughly enjoyed the gifts I have been able to put together. From Christmas to baby showers, there are so many fun ideas out there that make receiving a gift more than just a present. You are also offering all this thought you had for them & truly wanting them to feel oh so special.

Wrapping Gifts for Christmas

Christmas is an especially fun time for those who love gifting. However, it can be slightly overwhelming. Not only all the time it takes to do the shopping, picking gifts out & wrapping, but the emptiness of the wallet can hurt a bit. This year I really wanted to come up with a uniform wrapping that had my special touch, but wouldn’t break the bank. This year I managed to wrap all my gifts even with an extra flare - by just buying paper & a potato.

Using a Potato to Wrap your Presents

That’s right! All I needed was some wrapping paper & a potato. I had twine, greenery stems, an ink pad & some bags with tissue paper. Like my house, wardrobe & LIFE, I like neutral. I wanted neutral wrapping that represented me. My favorite is when I do not even have to write who the gift is from because they just know. So simple & so quaint. Wrapped it up, cut the potato into a stamp the shape of a tree & pressed away! Finishing touches include string & stems.

Last Finishes for this Festive Look

In addition, I used my little letter stamps for the recipients name. Saved me from getting tags! Gifting does not have to break the bank or steal your time. However, I do believe that adding that special touch passes on such a warm & special feeling to whom ever receives it.
