Camping has become a summer must do for us. Since we got married in July of 2015, we bought a tent & started these transitions. Weekend getaways that we hope to one day bring our kids with to enjoy as well. Growing up, my family had a cottage, so camping wasn’t the most familiar concept. However, the outdoors was. Tenting is just much more feasible then an entire house - I would say. We have shared our Pop Up camper we had a few years back, & long time followers know about our RV living days. Well, here are the tenting days! A downgrade to some, but never to us. Here I share all the must knows, tips & our favorite reminders when it comes to sleeping on the ground.

Living tiny, moving often, working from home/finding other places to work - means you need your stuff with you everywhere and you need it all in one place. Now, I have never and I repeat NEVER been a pursue girl. After this amazing find, I have become a backpack kinda girl.

I shared this photo on the Our Blue Abode Instagram Account the other day & was so flattered at the amount of loved poured over this small space. Finding the right bedding is one tall task, affording it is another. The RV had a queen size bed, but then when we splurged with a king in the apartment, buying new bedding was last on my “want” list. Can you believe that we are still getting away with most of our queen size bedding here!

We have lived in this home on wheels for over 6 months now & I can hardly even believe it! We have learned so much about this lifestyle & how we can live simply & yet oh so cozy. From playing with different textures to brightening up our space, we have come to love this life in our tiny home.

Amazon might be the best thing to happen for online shopping. Am I wrong? Getting a new job after the move & having a little space for an office made my super giddy. I was so excited to start decorating it, but mostly wanted to go about it the right way. I worked in the space for a few weeks before ever buying any decor. It was important to see what I actually needed & then move forward from there.

Spring is in the air which brings a waft of many different feelings. Knowing how quickly the year is flying by, the freshness of new life through out your surroundings & mostly the yearning for a clean, bright home. Being a neutral girl, I am surprised how often I desire color & “pops” through out my home once spring rolls around. Through the long months of fall & winter when I toss around all the chunky white throws, spring always makes me want to add some color.
