Little Free Library
How we made a Little Free Library! Something I always wanted to do was add a touch of community to our home. Whether it was a mini food pantry or a frequent yard sale, I wanted to host some time of event to get to know my neighbors & be a light to those around me. The street we are on & the location we are in made it a no brainer for the addition we chose.
There is an "I" in Instagram
I received one of the saddest, yet sweetest messages last night & I knew I had to talk about it. It brought up an issue that I have been feeling EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. With this beautiful lady bringing this to my attention, it makes me wonder how many others are in our same boat. So ladies, lets talk fear.
Sure Fire Cozy Enhancer
That is right, friends! We impulse added a fireplace to our living room! Since we bought the house we knew we wanted to add one. We just didn’t really know when, how, what kind, or anything in between. Some problems we needed to work around : had to be on an interior wall, our house is over 113 years old & old things are scary, it had to be safe & cost effective. Is adding a fireplace something you have wanted to do? Do you have similar problems to deal with? Well you are in luck! Here is how we made our living room more modern & more cozy for roughly $600.
I Found Me in a Book
I bought a book the other day. An actual book that I want to read. Yes, I want to read. If I haven’t made it clear yet, than maybe this will do it for you. I DO NOT READ. That is why you will find so many errors & typos in my posts. That is why you will find that my vocabulary is not very prodigious (I googled that). I find that stories make my mind race & travel & I start to create my own endings. It just takes too much work, am I right? Well, I think I found the solution to my problem. The books that have been captivating my attention are self worth, follow your dreams, motivational kind of books. That is what sparked my interest on this particular one.
This Isn’t for Me
What to do when you have no choice but to live the day to day staring at your dreams. Not living them. That dream could be a job, a lifestyle, a look, that new kitchen, whatever the case is. We all have that certain thing we want & consume our brains with but never reach out & grab it.
It’s Not Me, It’s You.
January is nearing its end & the amount of thoughts racing through my brain has reached maxed capacity. Wow. Has this break been nice. What I took out of the year of 2018 is that it was a busy year of getting no where. Exactly why I am so on fire for 2019.
New Years Resolutions 2019
So many lists & so many goals. 2019, I am coming for you. I am such a January girl. More so than I ever thought before. A fresh start, motivation to do & be good. The positive mindset that this year you CAN do it. Who doesn’t get pumped up by all that? I have been seeing & hearing a lot from people their dislike for “resolutions”. I never really thought that there would be such an issue with people setting up goals for themselves.
Make a Christmas to Remember
Just like that, Christmas is over. I hope you all had wonderful days full of family, love & happiness. Now we’re on to New Year’s. Personally, I am big on resolutions. I am all about choosing goals, planning your game, & kicking them in their booties. This next year especially. My words for this next year are INTENTIONAL CONTENTMENT. I will be sure to touch on that later, but I wanted to end 2018 with just that.
Our Humble Abode
Saturday was a dream. For so long I have attended craft shows & vendor events, wanting to be on the other side. How fun would it be to create something, have your brand, have your style in someones home or hands. How fun would it be to create a small store that is all you. I always thought it would be such a fun things to have a little store or booth. Well Saturday it happened. I finally pulled the trigger & signed up for my first craft show selling home decor that reflects Our Blue Abode to a tee!
