This kind of feels like a first impression type thing. Almost as if this is brand new even though it’s not. Starting this blog in 2018, I never would have imagined I would still be going. Here we are & I cannot wait to share all the things with you. First, let me introduce you here!

There is so much information out there about essential oils & to be honest, at first I just felt like I was trying to be sold on something. Obviously, that will turn anyone away. However, not after a little research & conversations with specialists from our Infertility journey, I soon found out that there was a missing puzzle piece to my efforts.

Working from home is a dream of mine because it represents the fact that I am doing what I love. Writing. Sharing. Creating an important space for this is crucial for success. Not only to set standards of disciple & consistency, but to help take myself seriously.

We quickly got used to not having all the maintenance that a house brings, but making this place a HOME is something still in the works. Thankfully, Luke allowed me to still fill this place with all the cozy AND with minimal nail holes. Here is how!

The corner that is constantly changing as it seems.. Using practical & just plain cute displays, this corner is a favorite to wake up to. As it may still be changing to add a work space for myself, it has surly found a sweet spot for the time being.

Have you been able to check out our podcast? That is right! My sister, Alanna & I decided to dive into the world of podcasting together & we just shared our second episode. Why do the podcast? We all know I love to write & share my story, well so does my sister. However, we come from two very different lifestyles.

Living tiny, moving often, working from home/finding other places to work - means you need your stuff with you everywhere and you need it all in one place. Now, I have never and I repeat NEVER been a pursue girl. After this amazing find, I have become a backpack kinda girl.

I shared this photo on the Our Blue Abode Instagram Account the other day & was so flattered at the amount of loved poured over this small space. Finding the right bedding is one tall task, affording it is another. The RV had a queen size bed, but then when we splurged with a king in the apartment, buying new bedding was last on my “want” list. Can you believe that we are still getting away with most of our queen size bedding here!

The history of Our Blue Abode is discussed often on here. I think because my mission through it is constantly evolving. As a brief summary, I started Our Blue Abode to document our new home & the decor process. That turned into opening up about our story & soon found passion in encouraging others to do the same. I started in fear of showing myself - my appearance that is. Now, I couldn’t imagine the growth I have endured through showing up, the confidence gained & the friendships build from being truly myself.
